NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2015 — Ubersmith, a global leader in billing, infrastructure and help desk software, today announced that Dominique Archambault has been named the company’s Chief Technology Officer. In this role, he will guide the product vision, strategy and development for Ubersmith’s business and infrastructure automation platform, which serves cloud, hosting and colocation providers, as well as managed service providers. Archambault’s position follows Ubersmith’s appointment of General Manager Kurt Daniel in 2014, as the company expands its executive team to meet growing customer demand.

Over the last decade, Archambault has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to lead agile engineering teams in fast-paced environments. Most recently, he served on the engineering management team at cloud and hosting provider iWeb, an Internap company. There, he was instrumental in leading iWeb’s implementation of the Ubersmith platform, along with development of the company’s OpenStack public cloud service, customer portal and Smart Layer, a virtualized, dedicated server hosting solution. Prior to iWeb, he held a range of Web development and system administration roles at companies including E-MedHosting.com (now MultiWebcast) and CompuSmart.

“Dominique possesses a unique combination of cloud development experience, knowledge and creativity that will be critical to driving Ubersmith’s continued momentum, growth and overall success,” commented Daniel. “We welcome Dominique as a key member of our leadership team to help us deliver an innovative roadmap, along with an emphasis on high-quality releases – including Ubersmith 4.0, which is slated for the coming months – as we continue the pursuit of our vision to provide the premier billing, infrastructure and help desk solution for the cloud.”

Founded in 2002, Ubersmith serves cloud, SaaS, hosting and colocation companies globally, including Atlantic Metro Communications, Continuum Data Centers, FDC Servers, SingleHop and QuadraNet. Ubersmith’s software combines recurring and usage-based invoicing tools with data center infrastructure automation and across-the-board help desk integration, allowing for a facilities-based, top-down view of important resources and services.

“As organizations adopt a wide range of Internet infrastructure services – from public cloud to bare-metal and managed hosting to colocation – providers are faced with an increasingly complex set of challenges in trying to accurately and seamlessly manage these services for their end users,” said Archambault. “Ubersmith addresses these demands with one of the industry’s leading infrastructure automation platforms, already in use by hundreds of service providers around the world. I look forward to delivering a regular cadence of robust and innovative features and capabilities that will help more customers streamline, manage and differentiate their infrastructure business.”
