What a year for Ubersmith! Ubersmith had an amazing year in 2015, and we’re hitting the ground running for 2016. Here’s our year in review and a sneak peek into our future plans:
We released two new versions of Ubersmith, as well as our 4.0 beta offering. Version 3.3 and 3.4 brought you a multitude of new features for streamlining your workflow, increasing efficiency, and enhancing your security including:
- Two-factor authentication for admins, clients, and contacts
- SAML single sign-on
- An extensible client module framework
- Internal support tickets
- Ticket-quote associations
In the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing version 3.5 with customizable payment options on quotes, a quotes event log, quote notifications, and an improved QuickBooks integration.
We’re looking forward to finishing our first beta program and releasing 4.0 in the next few months, with a completely refreshed UI, global admin notifications, modern responsive graphs, and updated effective pricing models.
Future development goals in 2016 include more language support — both development and human — and a new core architecture, to help pursue our goal of being the global leader in business management software for data centers, the cloud and beyond.
We unveiled a completely new and redesigned website in September of last year, including a new Product Resources page. We also added pages on our Support Lifecycle Policy, Support Roles, and full Changelogs to better assist you with upgrade planning.
Thanks to our first dedicated tech writer, Camille, we also launched a completely new Docs site, with improved search and a modern design — please take a look. We invite you to give us any feedback you have on how we can make these resources better for you. You can reach us on Twitter, Facebook, or through the Contact Us form on our website.
In 2016, we anticipate adding to the resources section of our site, increasing documentation, and introducing webinars and other tools to help you maximize Ubersmith’s potential in saving your company time and increasing overall revenue.
Ubersmith Around the World
We attended six conferences around the world last year and hope to double that number this year. You might have seen us in Seattle at the Microsoft Cloud + Hosting Transformation Summit, Germany at WHD.global, Pennsylvania at WHD.usa, Southern California at HostingCon North America, Las Vegas for 451’s Hosting + Cloud Transformation Summit, or in Northern California at the IMN Data Center Forum. Next year we’re looking to go all around the US and world, so look out for us in a city near you!
Our team is growing by leaps and bounds. We added 6 new people to our team in 2015: a new CTO, our first Director of Solution Architecture, our first Director of Support, as well as our first dedicated tech writer, designer, and UI engineer. We’re looking to grow our team even more next year to serve you better, so expect additions across engineering, marketing, sales, and support. Catch us at an event this year and you’ll likely get to meet a different person from our team each time. We’ve already added our first 2016 addition to the team: Leo Thornton, our first ever dedicated Account Manager.
